BESTBUSINESSMASTERY.COM was founded
 by award-winning business marketing and branding experts, Shakira M. Brown and Cathlyn Driscoll. They met while working in the marketing department of a $100 million accounting firm in 2003. There they launched a corporate brand project that earned seven prestigious industry awards. Shakira M. Brown Before Shakira embarked on a career in public relations and marketing, she worked for an NPR radio station and was in television production at ABC, CBS, NBC, VH-1 and HBO to name a few. She served as a dayside television news producer at MSNBC for over four years, where she produced content for various programs and specials. Throughout her career, Shakira has worked with well-known television personalities, moguls and brands including Brian Williams (Nightly News), Diane Sawyer (Good Morning America), Ann Curry (Today Show), Rosie O' Donnell, Steve Capus (President, NBC News), Conan O'Brien (Tonight Show),Frank Newport (Editor in Chief, The Gallup Poll), Soledad O' Brien (CNN), Russell Simmons (Founder of Def Jam and Phat Farm empire), Mort Walker (creator - Beetle Bailey) and Patrick McDonnell (creator - Mutts), plus many more. Shakira is a voting member of the National Association for Television Arts & Science (EMMY) and the former financial communications chair of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She is also a media council member with Gerson Lehrman Group Councils which has networks of consultants, physicians, scientists, engineers, attorneys, market researchers, and other professionals from around the world. Shakira has worked with people at the top of their game and she is now sharing her knowledge with you.  Cathlyn Driscoll Cathlyn worked for professional video/satellite production companies in NY and NJ, added some advertising/marketing experience along the way in addition to working with a professional camera & a pharmaceutical company. These include: Merck, General Electric, Hasselblad, Ricoh, Devlin Productions, TKR Cable, Resource Advantage Marketing, Virgo Communications, AAC Publishing, and Strauss Communications. In the art world, Cathlyn had the privilege of working alongside master artist (painter/writer/sculptor/humanist) Frederick Franck, author of the famous, 'Zen Seeing, Zen Drawing', and studied with master painter, Don Brautigam (painted & designed 33 of author Dean Koontz's book covers). Photographs by Cathlyn have been featured in the New York Daily News. A former adjunct professor, Cathlyn has taught desktop publishing and web design basics at two community colleges. Cathlyn's current clients consistently rank on page one in Google for their top search terms, and have increased their web traffic on the average of 66%. Cathlyn is the 'go to' person when you have a question about the web, search, design and marketing. As lead designer & marketing creative on a re-branding campaign, Cathlyn's web design won top honors in the 2006 Marketing Achievement Award at the Association for Accounting Marketing. |
